Velcro USA Somersworth, NH A manufacturing plant of 225,000 square feet and a recent addition for an additional 200,000 square feet. We participated as part of a design/build team for both projects in 2000 and 2008 working closely with Velcro’s in-house process engineering group in configuring the facility. This is a high bay facility with some two story support spaces within the manufacturing areas and a two story office/support area at the plant’s entrance. Energy conservation is an important objective in their facilities. In addition to an efficient envelope design the roofscape utilizes strategically placed skylights to supplement and sometimes supplant artificial light sources with daylight.
